Hello, and welcome. My name is Angele, and I am a dedicated educator with a passion for creating inclusive, student-centered learning environments. As a gifted individual diagnosed with Autism and ADHD, I understand firsthand the importance of personalized education, supportive systems, and learning environments that recognize each student’s unique strengths.

Throughout my academic journey, I experienced challenges within traditional school settings, but I remained deeply committed to learning. Those experiences helped shape both my perspective and my purpose as an educator. I earned my Associate of Arts degree and, this past spring, graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Education.

After relocating to Hereford with my two sons, I saw the need for educational opportunities that were better aligned with different learning styles and student needs. I took an active role in guiding their education, with a strong focus on technology and skill development. That journey led to meaningful success in the National CyberPatriot competition. As coach of the 4-H middle school CyberPatriot team, we earned the 3rd Place State Award for Arizona. Later, coaching an independent team made up of my sons, we earned the 1st Place State Award for Arizona.

Inspired by that journey and by a desire to better serve neurodivergent learners, I founded AZ STEAM Academy. I spent months developing a framework centered on experiential, personalized, and mastery-based learning. At the heart of this approach is a commitment to helping students advocate for themselves, build supportive relationships, and grow into their full potential.

My work in education is rooted in both experience and a growth mindset. I previously served as an AmeriCorps intern with EarthCare, where I taught sustainability concepts in public and private schools. I also earned a Modern Classrooms instructional certificate, which further strengthened my commitment to individualized and flexible teaching practices.

I am committed to creating transformative educational experiences and to helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and prepare for meaningful futures.
